Saurabh Srivastava, Chairman of CA (Computer Associates), India and serial entrepreneur, angel investor and VC

Saurabh Srivastava is one of India’s leading entrepreneurs, investors and institution builders, widely acknowledged as one of the architects of the Indian IT Industry and as leading the creation of a vibrant entrepreneurial eco system in India. The Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has presented him an Award for contribution to the Indian IT Industry and the President of India has awarded him the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian honours. He co-founded and Chaired key institutions of modern India focused on entrepreneurship: NASSCOM (Indian IT Industry Association); Indian Venture Capital Association; TiE (the world’s largest organization focused on entrepreneurship with 15,000 members across 14 countries); Indian Angel Network, now the  world’s largest angel investor group with over 100 portfolio  companies and 450 investor members globally. He has been involved in investing in around 100 start-ups and has personally mentored hundreds of entrepreneurs. He serves/has served on the boards of reputed public companies in the US, UK and India.


Anthony Clarke, Co-founder & Managing Partner of Seraphim Space Fund

Anthony is professionally a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Legal Secretary and is a co founder and Managing Partner of the £30m Seraphim Capital Fund and the £67m Seraphim Space Fund. He is also the co-founder and CEO of Angel Capital Group which includes London Business Angels (LBA) which he has been involved in for over 20 years. Angel Capital Group and LBA are now part of The City of London based Newable Group where Anthony is a Managing Director. He is a co founder and was Chairman of the UK Business Angels Association (UKBAA) from August 2004 to July 2012 and remained on its Board until 2014. He is President Emeritus of European Business Angels Network (EBAN) having been its President from 2004-2009 and a Board member from 2002 – 2010.


William Klipgen, Co-founder Cocoon Capital

Will is the co-founder of price comparison site, which was later merged with and sold to Yahoo in 2004 in one of Europe’s largest internet transactions. And none of this would have been possible if someone hadn’t believed in him, his ideas and his company Zoomit, at a very early stage. Will has since paid it forward, having invested in over 25 startups since he became an angel investor in Singapore in 2004 as part of his family investment company Tigris Capital. Indeed, this is the same name behind numerous Singapore success stories including PropertyGuruAnacle SystemsTickled MediaReferralCandy and Nugit. In 2010, Tigris Capital was awarded “Best Performing VC / PE backed company” by the Singapore Venture Capital Association for its successful investment in, Southeast Asia’s leading property listing site. Will splits his time between Singapore and Europe. In his time in Singapore, he has worked with a number of government agencies that promote entrepreneurship including SPRING Singapore, Infocomm Investments and the Media Development Authority. He is a frequent speaker and judge at startup conferences around Asia while these days also managing INSEAD Alum Ventures, an early-stage venture fund for alumni of INSEAD Business School globally.


Loring Harkness, Head of Maykhalar (Myanmar Business Angel Network)

Loring Harkness has over five years experience building and mentoring impactful technology startups in Myanmar and across Southeast Asia. He is currently Country Director of Building Markets Myanmar and Facilitator of Myanmar Angel Network. He was formerly Founder at Ngwe.Su, focusing on prize-linked savings accounts, ROSCAs and other financial inclusion tools for the under-banked. He was also Co-founder and CEO of Next Billion, which connects positive organizations to the next billion mobile consumers via mobile video, apps, and messaging platforms. He was curator of TEDxYangon (2012) “People, Planet, Profit”. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College in the United States and a Master of Laws from Monash University in Australia.


David Soukhasing, Head of Angel Investment Network Indonesia (ANGIN)

David arrived in Indonesia in 2013 to manage an accelerator program and investment implementation of a global impact investor supporting high-growth double bottom line companies. He then joined IMJ-IP, one of the most active tech seed venture capitalists in Southeast Asia. Since 2015, David has led ANGIN, the first and only manager-led angel investment network in Indonesia.


Csaba Bundik, Partner, HATCH Ventures, Vietnam

Csaba is a Partner at HATCH! Ventures and is Vice Chairman of the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. Csaba acts as mentor and strategic advisor for the HATCH! PROGRAM and advisor for the business development programs of the governments of Vietnam, South-Korea, Finland. He is an active angel investor and has invested in a small portfolio of start-ups in Vietnam. He holds a BSc in Economics with Finance specialization, MBA from Viadrina University, Germany and attended courses in venture capital, business incubation and technology commercialisation at the University of Texas in Austin.


Robert Lomnitz, Managing Director, Bangkok Venture Club & Angel Investor

In the late 80s, Robert saw opportunities to deploy capital into the emerging Former Soviet Union, in particular central Asia, through his family’s trading business. In 1999, Robert disposed of his family’s eastern European investment assets and invested both personal and other capital into a number of web and technology related businesses, ultimately managing the technology ventures division for a UK PLC.  In 2002, following the dot com crash, he established a UK based FSA-regulated corporate finance business, Investory Limited, which ultimately became the cornerstone for Duet Private Equity Limited.  Duet Private Equity is a business that Robert co-founded in 2005 and which now manages in excess of $2B of emerging market private equity, real estate and venture funds for institutional investors. In 2008, Robert sold his stake in Duet and began to invest in smaller cap deals as an “angel” investor. Robert has served on several company boards and has significant non-executive and executive experience in high growth businesses.


Lem Chansamrach, Managing Director, Cambodian Investors Corporation Plc (CiC)

As Managing Director of CiC Samrach has extensive experience in investment and fund management through the CiC and ARUN funds. He has been involved in setting up companies, conducting investment and business analysis, deal structuring, due diligence, monitoring, evaluation, and so on.  A young Cambodian with strong leadership and communication skills, he received his master’s degree in SME Management & International Business from the University Lumière Lyon 2 in France.


Nicole Paterno, Founder 1000 Angels Manila

Maria Rita Theresa Nicole L. Paterno began her career first in the public sector. She worked for one of the most coveted government owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) – the Manila Economic and Cultural Office – some two weeks after EDSA People Power 2 happened. Wanting to serve more, Nicole transitioned to work for several non-profit foundations and development-consulting firms doing projects, events and research. Notable were the Aquino Foundation, Garilao & Associates, Makati Business Club and SwissContact. Her foray into fund raising came in 2004 when she was asked to form part of the pioneering team of fundraisers for her alma mater, Ateneo de Manila University. The task was to develop new donors in order to expand the existing donor base. Nicole’s break into tech start-ups, innovation and entrepreneurship came when she responded to Dr. Francisco “Paco” Sandejas’ (Narra VC) request to run and manage his advocacy in the form of the Brain Gain Network ( platform. The website was a means for the Philippine diaspora to reverse the brain drain problem by building a database of Philippine experts covering the fields of science, technology, engineering, investments and entrepreneurship – sectors that were lost to migration. Nicole pursued 1000 Angels in August 2013 and soft launched it in November 2014 to address the innovation and funding gaps in the Philippines’ start-up ecosystem, working with both the public and private sectors. She has a degree in European Studies focused on International Relations with a minor in German Studies from Ateneo de Manila University and is a Masters in Public Management candidate at the Ateneo School of Government and Public Service.


Anvita Varshney, Co-founder Dubai Angel Investors, Mentor at YourNest Venture Capital  and foremer MD of Lazada Group

With more than 12 years of experience in technology and the digital space Anvita was previously Chief Operating Officer for the Naspers Group managing a portfolio of 3 online businesses in the Middle East and Africa (Dubizzle, OLX, Shedd) with a reach of 18 countries in the region between Aug 2015 to April 2016. She was responsible for driving Dubizzle’s (biggest online website of UAE) P&L and growth, expansion into markets, launch of new verticals and businesses and drove strategic M&As in the digital space. She is one of the founders of Dubai Angel Investors an angel group that invests in early stage online startups. Prior to that she was the Regional Managing Director for the biggest e-commerce venture in South East Asia – Lazada (Rocket Internet) where she helped Lazada grow from 20 people to 6000 and reach a revenue of USD 1.5 billion in just 2.5 years. She has worked with Google in London and has a background in telecoms and technology (Aricent, Motorola and Cadence) in Silicon Valley for 5 years.


Mr Deepak Natarajan, Experienced Tech Executive, Senior Adviser and Investor in the VCPE space

Deepak was Investment Director, SEA and ANZ, at Intel Capital from July 2008 to May 2016. Intel Capital is a division of Intel Corporation set up to manage corporate venture capital, global investment and mergers and acquisitions. He was responsible for investing in private technology companies in SEA and ANZ. From December 2006 to April 2008, he was VP, Marketing and Business Development at Roamware Inc in California, a leading provider of mobile roaming solutions to Mobile operators. He has also served as Executive in Residence at Storm Ventures in California, conducting due-diligence for new investments and assisted portfolio companies develop market entry strategies. He was Venture Partner/Managing Partner at Redwood Ventures from October 1999 to June 2002. His extensive experience in the tech space include stints as VP, Marketing and Business Development at Seeker Software and Director, Market Development at Sun Microsystems from November 1989 to October 1994 and responsible for recruiting and managing more than 100 key strategic software and channel partners to drive Sun’s growth in the Telecom and Design Automation sectors. Deepak is currently an independent adviser and investor in the VCPE space.


Petrus Huang, Board Member, BANSEA & Director Drew & Napier LLC

Petrus is director of corporate & finance department At Drew & Napier LLC, one of Singapore’s leading and largest full service law firm. He has more than 20 years of legal practice covering a broad range including the setting up of funds and fund managers, fund raising for companies and start-ups, trade sales and other exits of companies and funds. Petrus is also Board Member of BANSEA, Singapore’s leading angel investment network.


Arnold Aranez, Director, Innovation Delivery, AIA Berhad (TBC)

Arnold is an Influential technologist with a proven track record in Agile delivery of customer-centric solutions across APAC. Provided executive Agile coaching in nine countries (trained over 500 staff in Agile fundamentals, Scrum & Kanban) and successfully led digital programmes in six countries. Almost 20 years’ experience in telecommunications, banking, retail, advertising, airline and insurance industries.


Bill Reichert, Co-founder & MD of Garage Technology Ventures (TBC)

Bill Reichert has over 30 years of experience as an investor, entrepreneur and operating executive. Since joining Garage in 1998, Bill has focused on early-stage information technology and materials science companies. He has been a board director or board observer at CaseStack, WhiteHat Security, ClearFuels Technology, Simply Hired, MiaSole, D.light Design, ThermoCeramix, and VisaNow, among others. Prior to Garage, Bill was a co-founder or senior executive in several venture-backed technology startups, including Trademark Software, The Learning Company, and Academic Systems. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey & Company, Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., and the World Bank. Bill earned a B.A. at Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He was a founding board member and a Chairman of the Churchill Club, and is an advisor to the Women’s Startup Lab. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York.
